About Me
Hello!
Gui Novi here, and I'm writing to welcome you to the website of NineAudio. This initiative is the result of years of dedication and passion for audio, and I really appreciate your presence here so I can share with you how I hear the world around me.
My history with audio started a long time ago as I have been playing and producing music since I was 14 years old, though professionally it only started around 2018. Before that, I was dedicating myself to my previous career in law, which gave me a unique set of skills and experiences that I bring to every project I work on.
As I moved out from my home country, Brazil, to pursue the dream of working with audio for video games in Canada and the USA, I took an office job as a project manager, and later a diploma in Sound Design for Visual Media at Vancouver Film School, in 2021. Due to my high performance, I was immediately hired by Electronic Arts as an Audio Quality Specialist to work on their proprietary game engine, and technical sound design became my full-time job.
The connections I made on VFS gave me an opportunity to work on many independent/student movies, with an honorable mention for the short film Float, winner of the best student film award at the Vancouver Short Film Festival 2021. The infinite hours I spent editing and mixing while at school made me realize I am also really fond of post-production, so working with linear productions became a true pleasure and a career-goal.
Finally, when not at the studio practicing the craft, I can be seen watching a show, a movie or a soccer match, or maybe in my kitchen cooking something delicious, or playing video games (open-world games being my favorite genre).

Casting voice actors, directing their performances, recording (local or remotely), and editing their dialogue for in-game characters.

Testing and debugging the audio of the game, ensuring that it works correctly and that there are no issues with playback or performance.

Music composition and supervision:
